The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for facilitating and leading continuous improvement initiatives at the GFO site that drive measurable cost savings across labor, materials, yield, and other operationalareas.Thisrolepartnerscloselywithinternalstakeholdersandprocessownerstoidentifyimprovementopportunities,developprojectplans,andimplementsolutionsthatenhancesafety,quality,delivery,andcostperformance.
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will support the site's strategic objective of expanding the BD Production System (BD Excellence) across remaining value streams. The primary focus of thispositionistoidentify,lead,andsupportcontinuousimprovementprojects,addressrootcausesofoperationalchallenges,eliminatewaste,andhelpachieveannualplantperformancegoals.
KeyResponsibilities
- Leadandexecutecontinuousimprovementprojectsfocusedonimprovingproductionflow,reducingwaste,andincreasingoperationalefficiency.
- Facilitaterapidimprovementevents(Kaizen)byengagingcross-functionalteamsandmanufacturingassociates.
- ConductauditsofdailystartupTiermeetingsandGembaWalkstoensureadherencetooperationalexcellencestandards.
- Leadmediumtolarge-scalecapitalimprovementprojects.
- Facilitateorco-facilitateBDExcellencereviewmeetings.
- Identify,develop,andimplementstandardizedprocessesthroughoutthefacility.
- Analyzeprocessesanddatatoidentifyopportunitiesforcostreductionandperformanceimprovement.
- Collaboratewithoperations,quality,engineering,andotherfunctionalteamstodrivesustainableimprovements.
- Performadditionaldutiesandspecialprojectsasassigned.
MinimumQualifications
Education&Experience
Applicantsmustmeetoneofthefollowingrequirements:
- Bachelor'sdegreeinEngineeringoranothertechnicalfieldofstudy;OR
- Minimumoffive(5)yearsofengineeringexperienceinamanufacturingenvironment.
