We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our educational team. This individual ideally is highly competent in not only playing piano, but teaching the instrument in a fun and engaging way. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a commitment to fostering a love for music in students of all ages. This position involves teaching musical instruments and practice techniques while creating an inspiring and supportive learning environment. The Music Teacher will work with students one-on-one, including preschoolers, children, and adults, adapting lessons to meet varying skill levels and learning styles.
**This team travels to student's homes to teach individualized music lessons**
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive music curriculum tailored to the needs of students across different age groups.
- Teach music theory, vocal techniques, and instrumental skills in individual and group settings.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Utilize effective management strategies to maintain discipline and promote student engagement.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in music education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Travel to and from Students homes in the Ulster County area
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field preferred.
- A valid driver's license in the State of NY
- Experience in teaching music to children and adults is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education practices is a plus.
- Strong skills in curriculum development and classroom management.
- Ability to engage students through various teaching methods, including hands-on activities and technology integration.
- Experience or interest in related fields such as dance or theater is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with students of all backgrounds.
