BD Health Services is a network of substance use treatment clinics serving the Baltimore City and Baltimore County communities with six locations. Our programs provide essential treatment services in a safe and supportive environment for both clients and staff.
We are seeking a Special Police Officer to join our team and help maintain a safe and secure environment across our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of all program policies, procedures, and security regulations to ensure the safe and effective operation of the facility.
- Ensure compliance with Maryland laws and internal program security policies by both staff and clients.
- Monitor and maintain the safety and security of staff, clients, and visitors on program property.
- Conduct routine security rounds inside the facility and around the exterior of the property.
- Observe and report suspicious activity to program management.
- Prevent and intervene in illegal activity or violations of program policies when necessary.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to minimize risk and maintain a safe environment.
- Complete required documentation, including incident reports, within company timelines (within 24 hours of the incident).
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain all required Maryland Special Police Officer permits and licenses.
- Ability to maintain all required certifications in active and valid status.
- Must hold appropriate permits for firearm authorization, if applicable.
