What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist/Office Assistant position at BD Health Services?
BD Health Services is a network of substance use disorder treatment clinics serving clients throughout Baltimore City and Baltimore County, with six locations.
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Admin/Receptionist to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer questions and assist clients with general inquiries.
- Answer incoming calls, direct calls appropriately, and take accurate messages.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and packages.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders as needed.
- Manage basic laboratory administrative functions, including:
- Overseeing routine urinalysis collection and documentation processes.
- Ensuring laboratory paperwork is completed accurately and timely manner.
- Maintaining and updating Maryland PDMP (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program) records as required.
- Ordering laboratory supplies and coordinating shipment and mailing of specimens and related materials.
- Assisting with maintaining compliance with laboratory procedures and documentation requirements.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with office equipment (e.g., fax machines, printers, scanners, copiers).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior administrative, receptionist, healthcare, or laboratory support experience preferred.
