What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Design/Production Assistant position at BCS PRINT SIGNS & GRAPHICS?
We're looking for a Graphic Designer & Production Associate to join our in-house team at a locally owned print and sign company. This is a true dual role — you'll spend part of your time designing and part of your time on the production floor making those designs a reality. We produce everything from custom t-shirts and vehicle wraps to trade show displays, banners, and storefront signage.
When the design queue is clear, you're on production. That's not the exception — that's the job. If you're someone who likes variety, stays busy, and takes pride in both clean design work and quality hands-on output, this role is built for you.
Design Responsibilities
- Create and prep artwork for print, apparel, signage, and promotional items
- Work directly with our sales team and clients to bring their ideas to life
- Set up files for production — bleeds, outlines, CMYK color, and press-ready specs
- Review proofs and maintain brand consistency for commercial clients
- Keep projects organized and meet tight turnaround deadlines
Production Responsibilities
- Weed and apply vinyl graphics for signs, vehicles, and apparel
- Assist with printing equipment and finishing processes
- Trim, package, and prep finished products for pickup or delivery
- Support substrate prep, laminating, and mounting
- Pressing t-shirts, embroidery prep and completion, etc.
- Keep the production area clean, organized, and running efficiently
- Pitch in wherever the team needs you — no task is beneath this role
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is required (Photoshop and InDesign are a plus)
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work — standing, handling materials, staying active
- Strong attention to detail whether you're at a screen or working with your hands
- A positive attitude and willingness to take feedback and direction
- Dependable and able to shift gears between design and production without missing a beat
- Availability during weekday business hours (flexible schedule within those hours)

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
