Nuclear Material Control & Accountability (NMC&A) Specialist
In support of Licensing Department
Work Location: CA or UT (Hybrid - 2 weeks onsite / 2 weeks remote)

Hours: 40
- Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the MC&A Plan and associated procedures.
- Oversee nuclear material measurements, physical inventories, and material transactions.
- Manage material balance areas (MBAs) and ensure timely reporting to NMMSS.
- Ensure facility compliance with DOE Orders 474.2 and 470.4B.
- Support regulatory inspections, audits, internal reviews, and root cause analyses for safeguards anomalies.
- Manage the measurement control program including calibration, quality control, and uncertainty quantification.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, Health Physics, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience in MC&A or nuclear safeguards at a site handling Special Nuclear Material (commercial, DOE, NNSA, or National Laboratory).
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOE Orders 474.2 and 470.4B and NRC regulations (10 CFR 74).
- Experience with MC&A software systems; familiarity with NDA/DA techniques and statistical analysis methods preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
Salary : $75 - $110
