Experience, Skills, & Competency Requirements
- 7 years of experience in digital fundraising, marketing, or strategic communications, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
- Proven success leading and scaling high-performing teams, especially within a fast-paced or mission-driven environment.
- Deep expertise in digital content strategy and grassroots fundraising, including email, paid media, lead generation, and social media.
- Strong background in client services, with the ability to build trust, navigate complexity, and lead strategy across multiple accounts.
- Skilled in performance management and coaching. Able to inspire growth, accountability, and development across levels.
- Proficient with fundraising and marketing tools such as ActBlue, EveryAction, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, HubSpot, and/or similar platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate big-picture vision into tactical action.
- Comfortable operating within remote or hybrid work structures; proactive in communication and team engagement.
Leadership & Vision
- Serve as the senior leader for BCom's fundraising and content strategy team setting vision, direction, and strategic priorities in alignment with company-wide goals.
- Oversee execution of all digital fundraising campaigns and communication strategy across multiple clients, ensuring creativity, quality, and performance.
- Partner with the COO and CRO to evolve service offerings, pilot new ideas, and drive continuous improvement.
- Represent the department in internal leadership meetings and client strategy discussions.
- Manage and mentor a team of digital strategists. Lead department-wide meetings, trainings, and professional development efforts.
- Build scalable systems for onboarding, workflow management, and cross-team collaboration.
- Support team leads in capacity planning, account assignments, and personnel decisions.
- Foster a high-performance culture grounded in BCom's values, prioritizing communication, collaboration, and individual growth.
- Build and maintain a centralized knowledge-sharing system, making research and insights easily accessible to the team.
- Lead strategic planning sessions for clients, ensuring their marketing efforts are data-driven and forward-thinking.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations for new business proposals and pitch presentations.
- Ensure alignment between client needs, agency capabilities, and industry trends, reinforcing the agency's strategic value.
- Develop frameworks and tools for account teams, ensuring consistency in client strategy development.
- Ensure team output meets or exceeds expectations for quality, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
- Set and monitor departmental KPIs, digital-fundraising results, and process benchmarks to spot trends and surface opportunities that delight clients.
- Maintain a pulse on digital trends, platform changes, and emerging strategies; share learnings internally and externally.
- Convert findings into proprietary frameworks, best practices, and thought-leadership guidance that drive smarter client strategies.
- Partner across teams to sharpen tool use, streamline workflows, and strengthen cross-functional communication.
