Associate – Corporate | M&A

We are seeking a Corporate Associate with more than 5 years of experience to join a respected New York-based M&A practice, to focus on public company M&A. The firm has a long-standing reputation for excellence, handling complex corporate transactions with precision and integrity, and cultivating talent that drives both client success and professional growth.

The ideal candidate is comfortable drafting agreements, managing due diligence, coordinating closings, and mentoring junior attorneys. You will work closely with Partners and senior team members, taking ownership of transactions and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support M&A transactions, including stock and asset purchases, joint ventures, and investments
• Draft and review corporate agreements with precision and attention to detail
• Coordinate diligence efforts with internal teams and external counsel
• Oversee multiple transactions simultaneously and maintain meticulous organization
• Contribute to other corporate matters, potentially including IPOs and capital markets engagements

Qualifications:

• 5–9 years of corporate/M&A experience, specifically within public company work
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills
• Knowledge of securities laws and public company transactions
• Active New York Bar membership in good standing
