Job Summary
The Junior Account Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of an assigned portfolio of properties while working closely with and under the guidance of a Senior Portfolio Manager. This role serves as an important connection between clients, property management teams, onsite employees, and internal departments to help ensure consistent service quality, proper staffing, and client satisfaction.
The Junior Account Manager will regularly visit assigned properties, monitor operational performance, support onsite teams, address service concerns, and assist in maintaining strong client relationships. This position is ideal for an individual looking to develop their leadership, operational, and account management skills while receiving guidance and support from an experienced Senior Portfolio Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the daily operations of an assigned portfolio of properties under the guidance of the Senior Portfolio Manager.
- Conduct regular property visits to inspect service quality, cleanliness, employee performance, and overall compliance with company standards.
- Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with property managers, clients, onsite supervisors, and employees.
- Serve as a point of contact for routine client requests, concerns, and operational needs.
- Communicate client feedback, service concerns, and property needs to the Senior Portfolio Manager and appropriate internal departments.
- Support onsite supervisors and employees in completing daily responsibilities and meeting established service expectations.
- Assist with coordinating staffing needs, schedule changes, call-outs, employee coverage, and open positions within assigned properties.
- Work closely with Human Resources and Recruiting regarding staffing needs, employee concerns, onboarding, and other personnel matters.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, performance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with coaching and providing guidance to employees and supervisors when performance or service issues are identified.
- Conduct routine quality inspections and follow up on corrective actions when necessary.
- Help ensure that each property is operating according to the established scope of work, company standards, and client expectations.
- Identify potential operational or service issues and communicate them proactively before they negatively impact service quality or the client relationship.
- Assist the Senior Portfolio Manager with client meetings, property transitions, special projects, and account-related initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of property visits, client communications, employee concerns, inspections, and operational follow-ups.
- Support the implementation of company safety procedures and help ensure employees follow established safety requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to strengthen leadership, client relations, problem-solving, and portfolio management skills.
- Perform other account management and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both languages.
- Previous experience in customer service, operations, property management, facilities services, commercial cleaning, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, employees, and internal teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple properties, responsibilities, and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Ability to identify problems, communicate concerns, and assist in developing practical and timely solutions.
- Ability to work independently while also receiving direction, coaching, and guidance from a Senior Portfolio Manager.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee and client situations professionally and confidentially.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and company management systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for regular travel between assigned properties.
Work Expectations
- Regular travel between assigned properties is required.
- Must be comfortable working in different property environments and interacting regularly with clients and onsite teams.
- Schedule flexibility may be necessary based on property, staffing, and client needs.
- Some early morning, evening, or occasional weekend availability may be required depending on operational needs.
- Must maintain professional communication and represent the company positively when interacting with clients, employees, vendors, and property management teams.
