Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site position in the New York City Metropolitan Area for an Armed Security Guard. The Armed Security Guard will be responsible for securing premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting buildings and access points. Key tasks include responding to alarms, providing security during incidents, documenting observations, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed. Maintaining a visible presence and preventing unauthorized access will be primary responsibilities, along with enforcing safety and security protocols consistently.
Qualifications
- Experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles
- Proficiency in operating surveillance equipment and conducting property inspections
- Ability to respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents or emergencies
- Strong attention to detail, observational skills, and report-writing capabilities
- Knowledge of safety protocols and local regulations governing armed security officers
- Possession of required licenses and certifications, including firearms licensure for armed security roles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and calmly in high-pressure situations
- Availability for occasional flexible hours and physical ability to perform the duties of the position
