Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate attorney to join its First Party Property practice group in Tampa, FL. The team handles sinkhole, water, wind, and fire damage claims across the state, offering a supportive environment for legal professionals dedicated to property litigation.

Duties

• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Perform legal research, analyze case law, and prepare pleadings and correspondence.
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to provide exemplary legal counsel.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Show strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Prior litigation experience is preferred, though not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.
