Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a highly motivated Finance Associate to join its Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group within the Financial Services Team in Phoenix, Arizona. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with solid finance experience who is interested in working on complex secured and unsecured lending transactions, including construction and real estate–backed loans. The role provides meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and exposure to sophisticated commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Document, negotiate, and close secured and unsecured credit facilities

• Manage commercial and corporate lending transactions from inception through post-closing

• Conduct due diligence related to financing transactions

• Support complex loan structures involving real estate and project finance

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure efficient transaction execution

• Provide high-level client service throughout all stages of transactions

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sophisticated finance experience

• Experience with secured and unsecured credit facilities

• Exposure to construction lending or real estate–secured loans preferred

• Familiarity with LIHTC or other tax-credit projects is desirable

• Knowledge of title, survey, and real estate development is a plus

• Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
