Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in New York City is seeking an Asbestos Litigation Associate Attorney to manage a robust asbestos defense litigation caseload. The associate will play a key role in depositions, court appearances, drafting client reports, motion practice, and liaising with experts to handle complex litigation matters.

Duties:

• Manage and handle all aspects of asbestos defense litigation
• Conduct depositions and make court appearances
• Draft client reports and assist in motion practice
• Coordinate and consult with expert witnesses as needed
• Provide timely updates and strategic guidance to clients
• Maintain a large and complex caseload while ensuring quality legal representation

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in civil defense litigation, with a focus on mass tort or asbestos litigation preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to independently analyze complex legal issues and strategize accordingly
• Effective time management and multitasking skills to handle a high volume of cases
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team while managing individual responsibilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing capabilities
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to client service
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
