Job Description
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to help establish and scale a new SRE function. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building SRE practices, defining SLIs/SLOs, and automating reliability operations and a proven ability to drive customer-centric reliability outcomes and communicate business impact with confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Stand up SRE practices from the ground up, including CUJ definition, SLI/SLO design, and error budget policies.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability for critical user journeys.
- Facilitate blameless postmortems, define corrective actions, and drive reliability improvements.
- Develop automation and tooling to reduce toil using a programming language of choice.
- Create and maintain NALSD documentation and role-playing incident scenarios.
- Partner with development and DevOps teams to embed reliability into delivery pipelines.
- Communicate reliability posture, risk, and priorities to business stakeholders with clarity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hands-on SRE experience establishing SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Ability to code in at least one language and build automation or tooling.
- Experience facilitating blameless postmortems and incident response exercises.
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and alerting practices aligned to CUJs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present positions confidently to business partners.
- Background in software development or DevOps.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Agile environments as a developer or SRE.
- Familiarity with incident role-playing, tabletop exercises, and reliability readiness reviews.
