Job Description
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud data platforms, observability, automation, and container orchestration and a proven ability to establish SRE practices that improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with Application Development and Production Support teams to implement SRE measures and standards.
- Ensure instrumentation, tooling, ticketing, alerting, and on-call routines are in place for key services.
- Decompose complex issues and objectives into executable units of work for team members.
- Advocate for efficient solution delivery practices and evangelize sound design, engineering, and organizational practices.
- Build and maintain observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Elastic.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins to enable reliable deployments.
- Support high-scale and regulated data environments with strong security, authentication, and networking controls.
- Operate and optimize container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Build and support Kafka or related streaming platforms for data movement and event processing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong Azure data services experience, including Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, SQL, ADLS, and Kubernetes.
- Strong AWS data services experience, including Glue, EMR, Redshift, S3, Lambda, KMS, and IAM.
- Strong Linux and SQL knowledge.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.
- Experience implementing observability with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Elastic.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.
- Strong understanding of networking, authentication, and security controls.
- Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Experience building and supporting Kafka or related streaming platforms.
- Experience operating high-scale or regulated data environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading SRE initiatives or guiding junior engineers.
- Background in data platform reliability across multi-cloud environments.
Work Arrangement & Screening:
- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
