Job Description

We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our Global Financial Crimes technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack Java development and Angular and a proven ability to design, build, and optimize data-intensive, distributed applications that meet defined acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications in the Global Financial Crimes environment.


• Collaborate with business partners to define requirements and validate acceptance criteria.


• Write clean, testable code and perform unit, integration, and performance testing.


• Debug complex issues and document designs, code changes, and operational procedures.


• Partner with multiple technology teams to implement target architecture and migrate to strategic platforms.


• Contribute as an individual contributor within an Agile delivery model.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of full-stack experience in end-to-end Java application development.


• 4 years of hands-on Angular development.


• Strong Core Java skills including multithreading, Collections API, JDBC, and use of Java profiling tools.


• Experience tuning performance for data-intensive applications.


• Proficient coding, debugging, and analytical abilities.


• Experience delivering software using Agile methodologies and processes.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.


• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

Preferred Skills:

• Background in enterprise stress testing.


• Experience with Elastic, Hadoop, Teradata, or other big data distributed ecosystems.


• Knowledge of cloud or distributed computing.


• Creative problem solver with a record of implementing innovative technology solutions.
