Job Type: Onsite
Pay Range: $70/hr. - $75/hr.

Job Summary:
The Datacenter Product Introductions team is looking to scale its test automation and CI/CD coverage to keep pace with NPIs. We are hiring contractors to expand testing and automation for solutions involving BGP , Open/R, Fabrics, Switches, and Optics.
Responsibilities
- Test and automate end-to-end network test cases, including control-plane, data-plane, performance, and stress/soak testing, using the in-house test framework used by the DNE team.
- Build and run traffic-generation tests with Ixia/Keysight in lab environments.
- Convert qualification test plans into automated, repeatable test suites and onboard them as CI/CD conveyor nodes (DC/BB push pipelines) that gate releases.
- Triage test failures to distinguish flakiness from legitimate regressions; file and track issues with the appropriate on-call team.
- Maintain and improve existing automation, test configurations, and lab tooling.
- Collaborate with Netcastle (lab infrastructure), Routing, and FBOSS cross-functional partners to unblock test coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in software/network test automation or QA engineering.
- Strong Python skills, including test frameworks, scripting, and debugging.
- Hands-on networking fundamentals, including BGP, routing/forwarding, L2/L3, and data-plane vs. control-plane concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and comfort working in a Linux environment with source control.
- Experience with traffic generators such as Ixia, Keysight, or equivalent.
- Bachelor of Science degree or background in network engineering.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to Open/R, BGP, ECMP/UCMP, or large-scale datacenter fabric topologies.
- Experience qualifying network hardware/optics or vendor NOS, such as Arista EOS.
- Familiarity with lab automation, device provisioning, or scale/performance testing.
