Position Title:  Maintenance Technician Facilities (Night Shift)

Location: 1410 Hwy 34, P.O. Box 93, York, NE 68467

Anticipated Start Date: 11/17

Expected Duration: 2 months

Job Type: Contract with possible extension

Shift Details: Night shift (Sun–Sat, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, 2-on/3-off/3-on/2-off rotation) with possible transition to day shift (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) after the new year.

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr (with $1 shift differential, if applicable) on W2

Note: Must be comfortabel with Exposure to Common Allergens: Weed pollen, corn pollen, and corn dust

Requirement: Knowledge of production agriculture and associated machinery.

Job Description:

What You’ll Do:

• Support plant operations and deliver maintenance support for capital projects.
• Maintain the condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools.
• Support Process Safety Management and overall location safety efforts.
• Conduct seasonal preparation work, including annual preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
• Assure proper setup, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilities.
• Complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed.
• Utilize predictive maintenance tools to detect and prevent future machine failures.
• Create, continually update, and train on preventative maintenance plans for various equipment.
• Complete fabrication projects to improve plant processes.
• Maintain detailed equipment records and prints.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Skills You Need:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable working at heights above 25 feet (with fall protection equipment).
• Beginner-level skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to work in a chilly warehouse and handle greasy machine parts.
• Willingness to help team members, including lifting up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Willingness to work overtime hours and shift work, including weekends, as needed.

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Knowledge of production agriculture and associated machinery.
• Basic knowledge of building electrical systems.
• Welding and/or millwright skills, especially relevant to the seed industry.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic repair and test equipment.
• Basic understanding of process control.
• Two or more years of industrial electromechanical education and/or experience in technical, electrical, and/or mechanical fields.
• Experience with a CMMS or similar system (i.e., SAP) for work orders and parts inventory.

• Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including overtime.

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds, work indoors and outdoors, and walk on uneven surfaces.
