📅 Duration: 12-Month Contract (High possibility of extension)
💲 Pay Range: $23.00/hr – $34.50/hr (W2)
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Fermentation Technician to join a pilot-scale fermentation and chemical production laboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong scientific background who are eager to grow their technical expertise in a dynamic lab environment.
🔬 Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Operate and monitor fermenters, including sterilization, inoculation, harvesting, troubleshooting, and cleaning
✔️ Apply sterile techniques for sampling and fermentation processes
✔️ Perform laboratory analyses using viscometers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and pH meters
✔️ Conduct preventive maintenance and basic repairs on lab equipment and bioreactors
✔️ Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records, and SOP compliance
🎓 Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Physics, or related scientific field
• 0–5 years of laboratory experience
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and SOP-driven environments
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with lab equipment maintenance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
⭐ Preferred Experience:
• Pilot-scale fermentation or production lab exposure
• Continuous improvement or Six Sigma participation
🕒 Schedule & Work Environment:
• Day Shift | Start as early as 7:30 AM
• 40 hours/week overtime opportunities
• Occasional weekend support (1–3 days/month)
• 80–90% hands-on lab work
