As a Quality Control Technician at BCFoods, you’ll learn hands-on how food products are tested, documented, and released for shipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a science or food interest who wants to build a career in Quality Assurance or Food Safety.
What you’ll do
- Perform hourly product line checks and record results
- Verify that finished goods meet product specifications
- Follow and support company food safety, GMP, and quality standards
- Collect and label samples for laboratory testing
- Conduct basic sensory evaluations and document findings
- Operate simple lab equipment safely and accurately
- Support pest-control inspections and housekeeping checks
- Assist with customer sample requests and packaging
- Participate in HACCP and safety meetings
- Help with training and orientation for new employees
What you bring
- Coursework, internship, or degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field — or strong interest in food manufacturing
- Great attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Good communication and teamwork; bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk during most of the shift (reasonable accommodations available)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, or basic food safety concepts
- Experience with lab sampling or manufacturing equipment
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new processes
