Data Analyst - Multimodal (Remote)

We are hiring a Data Analyst, Multimodal (Air, Car, Rail) as part of our as part of BCD Travel's consulting group, Advito. We take corporate travel programs to the next level by analyzing travel data, and supporting with building program strategies, identifying risks and opportunities, and assisting in supplier negotiations.
As a Data Analyst - Multimodal, you will be responsible for providing data and analytics support on client consulting assignments in the field of business travel optimization for multimodal accounts (Air, Car, Rail). This includes analyzing supplier contracts; verifying, and processing data; building, and managing databases; performing research regarding pricing, policy and benchmarking; and assisting in client presentation development. You will have an opportunity to participate in the development of other colleagues, as well as contributing in different areas such as data product testing, process improvement, data quality management and data governance.
As a Data Analyst- Multimodal, you will
- Work with program managers to prioritize business and information needs
- Diagnose and fix data-related and reporting issues to ensure data accuracy
- Create and maintain various types of reports & dashboards and answer business questions
- Align with different project teams globally around strategies, key objectives, and success metrics, always maintaining clear communication and ensuring on-time completion
- Analyze and leverage data, analytics, current, and impending air/car/rail spend management & statistical techniques, tools, and opportunities to deliver recommendations to program managers
- Leverage internal standards to customize and maintain various types of reports for clients
About you
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Data and Analytics and/or Hotel Industry procurement
- Prior work experience as a Data or Business Analyst with a track record of manipulating, and extracting value from datasets
- Experience with the following would be a plus: hotel pricing/financial analysis, revenue management, forecasting and accounting (or other)
- Proficiency in using Microsoft suite of software products, particularly Excel (including report generation, data connection opportunities and pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with different data and analytics tools such as AWS technologies, Dbeaver, Quicksight, Tableau, and Python is a plus
- Working understanding of relational databases and using SQL and commands to access / manipulate the data
- Experience with various GDS, air program management and hotel sales is a plus
- Must be able to understand business rules and processes and how that impacts data and suggest appropriate reporting
- Experience in data governance and data quality management is a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues and analyses
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Critical thinking and curiosity to learn more about travel industry and data trends
- Interest in working with diverse, cross functional international teams

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Data Analyst is between $55,000 and $70,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
