Job Title: Assistant General Manager (AGM)
Location: Estefan Kitchen Orlando
Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a key leadership role in ensuring smooth daily operations in both the front and back of house at a high-volume restaurant. This position supports the General Manager in managing staff, maintaining guest satisfaction, driving financial performance, and ensuring operational excellence across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all restaurant operations, including BOH (Back of House) and FOH (Front of House).
- Supervise and support hourly team members across all departments, ensuring adherence to performance standards.
- Manage daily staffing needs, floor coverage, and shift transitions.
- Monitor food quality, safety, and sanitation compliance.
- Ensure smooth execution during high-volume service periods.
- Participate in inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
- Train, coach, and develop hourly employees to meet service and performance expectations.
- Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Uphold company policies and foster a positive, team-focused culture.
- Act as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the General Manager.
- Must be able to read and interpret a Profit & Loss (P&L) statement.
- Proficient in using Toast POS and 7shifts scheduling software.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of both BOH and FOH operations.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
