SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, organizing, and leading the provider communications and engagement functions. Oversee the development and delivery of the provider engagement strategy, identifying priorities, implementing solutions, evaluating outcomes, and working collaboratively with business and IT partners to prioritize and implement enhancements based on provider input and business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Direct the activities of Provider Engagement including identifying creative solutions to meet enterprise priorities and working collaboratively with provider-facing teams and IT for ongoing engagement improvements. Identify strategies and priorities for engagement capabilities based on company needs, available funding, and IT/vendor capacity.
- Direct the activities of the Provider Communications team, including identifying effective and efficient outreach strategies to address complex business problems and project implementations, highlighting priorities based on BCBSM’s provider intended experience.
- Collaborate across business units with key stakeholders to align business objectives. Work closely with provider network partners and corporate communications to accomplish strategic goals.
- Ensure timeliness and completeness of core provider publications that are required as extensions of BCBSM/BCN's physician, facility, and ancillary contracts, including provider manuals, newsletters, and alerts. Ensure annual maintenance of content and respond to legal and network leadership requests for validation of published communications.
Oversee provider research and impact assessment reporting looking for trends and opportunities.
Serve as point person for all crisis communications that require a provider representative, coordinating across HCV, Office of Clinical Affairs and other relevant areas, e.g., Provider Inquiry.
Develop, lead and own the development of corporate standards related to Provider Engagement.
Prepare and present formal presentations, documents, updates, etc. to share information across the enterprise, including executive leadership.
Lead, direct, evaluate and develop department leadership and team members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required.
Seven (7) years of leadership experience required.
Five (5) years of communication and/or digital marketing management experience required.
Experience with the health insurance industry required.
Experience working with the provider community required.
Market analytics, user experience, and/or survey experience required.
Understanding of provider’s office systems/processes preferred.
