Program Overview
The BBVA Global Wealth Advisors Summer Internship Program is a 10–12 week immersive experience designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of a global wealth management business.
Interns will be embedded within several business areas (e.g., Investments, Risk, Operations, or Client Advisory) and will contribute to real projects with measurable outcomes, while gaining insight into BBVA’s culture and operating model.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project-based assignments aligned with business priorities
- Conduct research and analysis on financial markets, clients, or internal initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and financial models
- Collaborate with team members across functions to deliver project outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and business reviews
- Provide support to senior professionals on ongoing initiatives
Candidate Profile, skills & competencies
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, International Affairs, or related field
- Prior internship or relevant experience is preferred
- Fluency in English and Spanish (required)
- Basic understanding of financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (Python is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
