Temporary Motor Services Laborer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shop Laborer to support operations in our electric motor repair shop on an as-needed basis. This role involves assisting technicians, with a primary focus on cleaning and preparing materials such as copper coils, rotor pole irons, and other related parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare parts used in rotating machinery.
• Operate tools such as die grinders, pressure washers, media blasters, and chemical baths.
• Move parts and equipment within the shop using forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment for delivery or shipment.
• Support technicians and supervisors with general shop duties as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with hand/power tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
