Manufacturing Material Handler

BBSI is looking for Material Handlers for a Manufactuing Company in th Colton area. Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pmPay: $18.00Position Summary:The Material Handler & Mixer is responsible for preparing, mixing, and delivering plastic raw materials to production lines to support daily manufacturing operations. This role ensures materials are accurately measured, safely handled, and consistently mixed according to established specifications.Material Handling & PreparationLoad, unload, and stage raw materials such as resins, pellets, powders, and additives.Transport materials to and from production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.Weigh and measure materials accurately based on batch recipes and production schedules.Maintain proper inventory rotation (FIFO) and track material usage.Mixing & BlendingOperate mixers, blenders, hoppers, and auxiliary equipment for plastic material preparation.Follow precise formulation instructions to mix plastic compounds, colorants, and additives.Monitor blend consistency, temperature, and quality throughout mixing.Perform basic troubleshooting or adjustments to mixing equipment.Production SupportSupply production lines with correct materials to meet schedule demands.Ensure proper labeling, storage, and tracking of all batches.Assist machine operators by ensuring continuous flow of materials.Quality & SafetyConduct visual inspections to confirm material quality.Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE use and safe chemical/material handling practices.Maintain clean and organized work areas.Report any equipment issues or material inconsistencies immediately.Qualifications:1 year experience in plastics manufacturing, mixing, or material handling preferred.Strong attention to detail with ability to follow mixing formulas and instructions.Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.Basic math and measurement skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.BBSI provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
