Construction General Laborer

BBSI is seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction General Laborer to support a variety of construction site activities. This role assists Foremen and Journeymen with material handling, demolition support, safety preparation, and maintaining clean and organized job sites. Candidates should be safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load, unload, lift, and move construction materials throughout the job site
• Assist with demolition activities as directed
• Support safety set-up and maintain compliance with site safety procedures
• Maintain job-site cleanliness and organization
• Assist Foremen and Journeymen with daily construction tasks
• Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of construction concepts and materials
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools including:
• • Hammer
  • Tape measure
  • Pry bars
  • Skill saw
  • Sawzall
  • Rotohammer
  • Demo hammer
  • Pick ax
  • Shovel
• Basic understanding of construction safety practices
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance or risk of injury
• Minimum of 6 months of construction experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Work Environment

• Outdoor construction environment
• May involve standing, bending, lifting, walking, and working in varying weather conditions
• PPE required at all times on active job sites
