Business Development Manager – Staffing Sales

What You'll Be Doing

80% Business Development & New Client Acquisition


This is a true hunter role.

You'll spend your time identifying opportunities, opening doors, building relationships, and winning new staffing business.


Responsibilities include:

· Prospecting through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, and referrals

· Building relationships with decision-makers throughout your territory

· Conducting discovery meetings

· Presenting customized staffing and workforce solutions

· Negotiating agreements and closing new business

· Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline

· Collaborating with recruiters to deliver exceptional talent

· Keeping CRM updated with accurate forecasting and activity

Activity Goals


Successful sales professionals in this role typically achieve:

· 60–80 outbound calls each week

· 25–35 prospect touches daily

· 8–12 new meetings scheduled weekly

· 5–8 discovery meetings completed weekly

· 3–6 qualified opportunities added to the pipeline each week

· Pipeline maintained at 3x monthly revenue goal


Client Relationship Management (12%)

Landing the client is just the beginning.


You'll build long-term partnerships by:

· Conducting 30- and 90-day client follow-ups

· Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction

· Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts

· Maintaining outstanding client retention


Team Collaboration (5%)

You'll work closely with our recruiting and operations teams to ensure clients receive exceptional service while helping develop market strategies and attending networking events.

Administrative Excellence (3%)

· CRM and ATS documentation

· Weekly forecasting

· Sales meetings and reporting

What We're Looking For


You might be the perfect fit if you have:


· 3 plus plus plus years of successful staffing sales experience (agency staffing preferred)

· A true hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business

· Confidence making outbound calls and opening new accounts

· Strong negotiation and closing skills

· Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

· A competitive drive and desire to exceed goals

· Experience using CRM and ATS systems

· The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
