Diesel Mechanic Technician
Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic troubleshooting and repairs including: diagnostic trouble codes - with a focus on aftertreatment systems, high pressure fuel systems, high pressure oil systems, cooling systems, electronics, engine, transmission, clutch, steering, brake and wheel, hydraulic systems, seals, differentials, etc.
Must have your own tools required to diagnose, perform major repairs in vehicles, and to effectively do inspections and perform routine preventive services. Shop will provide a Diagnostic scanner.
Efficient communication and computer skills, maintains accurate records of all work performed.
Knowledge and ability to identify the proper name of all visible parts and non-visible parts in a vehicle.
Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a technician.
- Foreman or management-level experience preferred but not required.
- Proficient in identifying vehicle parts (visible and non-visible).
- Strong communication and computer skills for accurate record-keeping.
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including:
- Aftertreatment, high-pressure fuel and oil systems.
- Cooling, electronics, engine, and transmission.
- Clutch, steering, brakes, wheels, seals, hydraulic systems, and differentials.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Use personal tools for major repairs (shop provides diagnostic scanner).
