Role Description:
The Showroom Sales Associate will engage with an elite and diverse clientele at the BBQGuys Backyard Design Center to drive outdoor living sales. Duties include providing exceptional, personalized service while discovering innovative solutions to enhance business success by partnering with builders, designers, and homeowners. This role involves curating an exclusive selection of high-end products including outdoor kitchen equipment and appliances, gas grills, and other items including furniture to enhance and upscale outdoor living spaces.
This position is open to both entry-level candidates eager to grow in sales and experienced sales professionals with a proven track record in retail or customer service.
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive base pay plus commission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with a wide range of customers, including builders, designers, and homeowners, to sell a variety of products, including gas grills and outdoor kitchen equipment.
- Assist customers, both by appointment and walk-ins, while utilizing suggestive sales techniques and handling customer concerns timely and accurately.
- Prepare customer quotes and proactively follow-up on those quotes until closed, won or resolved.
- Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory, returns, and delivery information.
- Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Effectively communicate with all applicable company personnel to ensure processes and results are understood from the order to the delivery and beyond.
- Update merchandise displays and in-store signage in keeping with current promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and physical appearance of both indoor and outdoor showrooms daily.
- Ensuring store opening and closing duties are complete.
- Effectively operate BBQGuys Order Control systems and other internal systems.
- Perform roles outside of daily tasks for special events.
- Complete any tasks as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience:
Entry-level candidates: 0–1 years of retail or customer service experience with a strong desire to learn and grow.
Experienced candidates: 2 years of retail or customer service experience.
- Proficiency in computer skills is required.
- Applicable industry product and vendor knowledge preferred.
- Embody and champion our customer first values while developing a strong understanding of our mission, products, and brands.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills is a plus
Physical Demands:
- Able to lift at least 75 pounds.
- Assembly of products as needed.
- Computer use, with or without adaptable software.
