Who You Are
The Associate Director, IT Helpdesk & Infrastructure will provide management leadership to deliver IT Helpdesk service, and infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives in support of the IT strategy and roadmap. The individual will partner closely with the business, external vendors, and IT leadership to ensure technology solutions are delivered to business requirements, and ensure the stability, scalability and security of IT infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will have deep infrastructure and IT service management experience, as well as a strong understanding of the cybersecurity controls needed to provide secure infrastructure. The candidate should also have experience with the compliance requirements that are expected of a public clinical-stage drug development company.
As the work environment is dynamic and matrixed, and the organization relatively small but growing rapidly, the candidate should be highly self-motivated and be a self-starter who understands and knows how to manage deliverables to completion. The ability to work independently, establish and maintain relationships with both business stakeholders and technology counterparts will be critical to the success of this role.

Salary
The annual salary range for this position is $194,000 - $222,500 in the San Francisco Bay Area. BBOT considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, skills, education, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation will vary, and it is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Base compensation is part of a robust total rewards offering at BBOT. Additional total rewards elements include annual bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, medical, dental, and vision benefits, retirement, wellness stipend, and flexible time off.

Responsibilities
- Manage the Helpdesk to ensure a high level of employee productivity and satisfaction, ensuring that SLA’s are met or exceeded.
- Operate with excellence utilizing industry best practice process for incident management, problem management, release management, request fulfillment, and change management.
- Lead IT Helpdesk, infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives that optimize the technology environment and improve employee productivity.
- Manage vendor relationships critical to the role.
- Develop, review, and enhance IT and cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement to improve quality, efficiency, standards and security across the technology environment.
- Ensure corporate infrastructure and services are secure, scalable, flexible, and compliant.
- Partner with the laboratory operations manager to support the laboratory and its operation.
- Facilitate the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies or capabilities that can be applied across the business.
- Ensure compliance with GxP, SOX and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
Experience
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networks, servers, and core infrastructure services (Meraki, AWS, Azure, Okta, Data Protection, EndPoint Security, including SentinelOne, Zoom).
- Administer and optimize Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, Intune, SharePoint).
- Set up and support SaaS platforms and integrations.
- Experience implementing and/or supporting laboratories a must.
- Experience directing IT Managed Service Providers in partnership with internal resources.
- Broad IT management experience, with an emphasis on Life Sciences-related systems delivery.
- Familiarity with compliance standards, and regulations for public drug development companies including GxP, SOX, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field such as Electrical Engineering.
- 7 years of relevant IT experience.
- At least 1 year in an IT leadership role (Associate Director or above) and 3 or more years in an IT management role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Ability to excel in a highly collaborative and innovative environment.
