Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining vendor records, and supporting month-end closing activities. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation when applicable.
- Prepare and process weekly check, ACH, and wire payment runs.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Maintain vendor master records and ensure required documentation is complete.
- Maintain organized electronic records in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with continuous improvement of accounts payable processes and internal controls.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2β5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (Sage Intacct experience is a plus).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
