What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving and Shipping Associate position at BBK Performance LLC?
About The Position:
As the shipping & receiving lead your daily duties will include leading the team of shipping & receiving personnel as well as the overall warehouse functions. In order to be qualified for this position you must have extensive knowledge of UPS, FED-Ex & USPS systems as well as quoting & managing LTL freight logistics.
Other skill sets required would be the full knowledge of Bin Locations, Routings and Bill of Materials. Forklift certifications are also required or at least prior certifications and experience working with most types. (sit down & order puller) Must also have a strong knowledge of the standard Microsoft products (Excel & Word)
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy.
- Manage warehouse staff, providing training and support to enhance team performance.
- Maintain inventory control and accuracy through regular audits and updates in the warehouse management system.
- Implement process improvements to optimize logistics and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards in all warehouse activities.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and documentation purposes.
