What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler I position at BBI?
Job Purpose:
Material Handler Level 1 (Entry Level)
Completes orders by picking and packing orders on pick ticket and hand held computer / scanner. Receiving inventory with use of hand held computer / scanner. Put away inventory in proper location with use of hand held computer / scanner. Keeping proper inventory with use of handheld computer / scanner.
Duties:
* Picks orders for packing with very high accuracy (99.9% or better).
* Packs orders for shipping or route delivery
* Loads transportation vehicles by stacking and securing materials.
* Maintains inventory and shipping records by completing logs in handheld computer.
* Accurately and timely receives inventory and records by completing inventory receipts in handheld computer.
* Accurately and timely puts received inventory away in correct location with guidance of handheld computer.
* Maintains safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with all regulations.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
* Accomplishes warehousing/shipping and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
