Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Owner Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate your own tractor-trailer to deliver freight efficiently and safely across various routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized freight vehicles.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, optimizing delivery schedules while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance standards.
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes and safety procedures for dangerous goods.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and customer service excellence.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks and work in various weather conditions.
