BBG is one of the leading developers and producers of molds and end to end manufacturing systems for polyurethane & composite processing industries. BBG is a German-based corporation that established the subsidiary BBG North America LP in Oxford, Michigan in 2014. The facility houses Sales, technical Customer Service, as well as Production for manufacturing, repairing and modifying prototype and serial production tools for various polyurethane industries.

We are looking to hire an experienced Tool Maker & Fabricator. The position is a full-time opportunity for an individual with previous work experience in the field. In this role you will assemble, repair, modify and troubleshoot custom-built tooling, molds and fixtures. Every project is unique, providing an opportunity to work on complex, high-value tooling rather than repetitive production work. BBG tools are custom-designed and each project presents new technical challenges, making this an ideal position for someone who enjoys problem-solving and hands-on craftsmanship.

Tool Maker & Fabricator

Your Profile:

• You can independently operate manual machine tools (lathe, Bridgeport mill, surface grinder, etc.) and manufacture components to print.
• You have experience assembling and disassembling custom molds or similar mechanical assemblies and are motivated to learn the specific requirements of BBG tooling.
• You have good communication, self-organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team and among colleagues.
• You have a successful graduation and high school diploma.

Your Responsibilities at BBG North America LP:

• Machine assembly components on manual machines (Bridgeport, Lathe, Surface Grinder, etc.)
• Perform full mechanical assembly and basic electrical assembly of custom prototype and production tooling. Previous electrical experience is an advantage but not required.
• Support testing & debugging activities on tools to assure their functionality and performance.
• Occasional spotting and fitting of inserts, sliders, or cavity halves as part of mold assembly.
• You will help to maintain a clean and orderly work space, being responsible for the machines you work with and the general work area in which you operate daily.
• Support adjacent manufacturing operations including material handling, work preparation, deburring, inspection and packaging.
