Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Class A CDL local driver role based in Cordele, GA. The driver will safely operate company trucks to complete local deliveries, following assigned routes and schedules while maintaining on-time performance. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles before and after trips, securing loads, and unloading products at customer locations as needed. The role requires accurate completion of delivery paperwork, adherence to DOT regulations and company safety standards, and professional communication with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers. The driver will also assist with basic vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A license and proven truck driving experience with commercial vehicles.
- Candidates should possess skills in safe vehicle operation, including handling truck equipment and adhering to load securement practices.
- Candidates should possess experience with unloading freight and handling materials safely at delivery locations.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for hours of service, inspections, and documentation.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and move materials as part of loading/unloading responsibilities.
- Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior local delivery or distribution experience in a similar industry is a plus.
