About the Position:
Ben Bellucci Academy is seeking enthusiastic and dependable part-time coaches to lead after-school programs in basketball, flag football, and soccer for elementary students. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports and working with kids, creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where children can learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging practices using age-appropriate drills in basketball, flag football, and soccer.
- Teach fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, teamwork, and strategy.
- Organize games and scrimmages that reinforce skills in a fun, team-oriented way.
- Foster an encouraging and inclusive atmosphere to keep children motivated.
- Supervise students at all times to ensure safety and enjoyment.
- Manage setup and cleanup of equipment for each session.
- Communicate with school staff and families as needed.
- Adjust lesson plans to accommodate different ages and skill levels.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children (coaching or sports preferred).
- Knowledge of basketball, flag football, and/or soccer rules and techniques.
- Strong leadership and group management skills.
- Energetic, positive personality with excellent communication.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass a background check.
Schedule:
- Sessions run 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, 1–3 times per week depending on availability.
- Each session includes: 20 minutes setup, 60 minutes instruction/play, 10 minutes cleanup.
- Paid time per session: 1.5 hours.
Compensation:
- $20–$25 per hour, based on experience.
- Example: $25/hr × 1.5 hours = $37.50 per session.
