Overview:
Ben Bellucci Academy is looking for an enthusiastic Flag Football Coach to join our after-school program in Howard County, MD. This part-time position is perfect for someone who loves working with kids, has a solid understanding of flag football, and can create a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead age-appropriate flag football drills, games, and activities.
- Teach essential skills such as throwing, catching, route running, and defense.
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive participation.
- Maintain student safety and engagement throughout sessions.
- Prepare simple weekly lesson plans for different skill levels.
- Provide encouragement and constructive feedback.
- Manage setup and cleanup of equipment before and after each class.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children (coaching or instruction preferred).
- Strong understanding of flag football fundamentals and rules.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Reliable, energetic, and well-organized.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
Schedule & Pay:
- After-school hours, typically 3:00–5:00 PM, 1–3 days per week.
- Paid per session (approx. 1.5 hours total including setup and cleanup).
- Must arrive 20 minutes early.
- Pay range: $20–$25 per hour (~$37.50 per session).
- Part-time, seasonal, or contract role.
