About the Role
Ben Bellucci Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, versatile, and reliable After-School Multi-Sport Instructor to lead dynamic youth programs throughout Palm Beach County. This role is designed for a coach who is comfortable teaching the fundamentals of Basketball, Soccer, and Flag Football to elementary-aged students.
We are looking for someone who can move between different community sites and school locations, bringing high energy and a positive attitude to every session to help kids build confidence and athletic skill.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Sport Instruction: Lead age-appropriate drills and activities for Basketball, Soccer, and Flag Football.
- Skill Development: Teach essential concepts such as dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork, tailored to the specific sport of the day.
- Game Management: Organize and referee small-sided scrimmages and skill challenges that prioritize sportsmanship and fun.
- Safety & Inclusion: Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Lesson Planning: Follow and adapt simple lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse age groups (Grades K-5).
- Equipment Care: Set up, manage, and clean up all sports equipment (balls, cones, flags, hoops) before and after each session.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, or mentoring capacity.
- Strong knowledge of the rules and fundamentals of Basketball, Soccer, and Flag Football.
- Ability to maintain high energy and manage groups of 15–20 children effectively.
- Organized, dependable, and punctual.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
Schedule & Pay
- Hours: After-school hours, typically between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
- Frequency: 1–5 days per week, depending on program availability and your schedule.
- Pay: $20–$25/hour based on experience and certifications.
