As the first point of contact at BB's Tex-Orleans, our Hostess/Host sets the stage for the entire guest experience. Key Responsibilities
- Warm Welcome: Greet every guest with a genuine smile and a "Y'at!" as they walk through the door.
- Seating Management: Coordinate the flow of the dining room, managing the waitlist and seating guests efficiently to ensure a smooth service.
- Communication: Work closely with servers and management to provide accurate wait times and update table status.
- Menu Knowledge: Provide guests with menus and highlight current specials or features while escorting them to their tables.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy lobby, entryway, and host station to ensure a great first impression.
- Phone Etiquette: Answer incoming calls for reservations (if applicable), to-go orders, or general inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills
- Personality: Outgoing, professional, and able to multitask under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal skills and the ability to stay organized in a loud, busy atmosphere.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant is a plus, but we are happy to train the right personality!
- Physical: Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
Pay: $7.25 - $10.00 per hour
