Core Responsibilities
Electrical Systems & Troubleshooting Expert: Maintain safe and reliable plant operations.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels, and power distribution (480V, 3-phase)
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated production lines
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore operations quickly and safely
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems
- Inspect and maintain VFDs, sensors, conveyors, packaging equipment, and instrumentation
- Identify potential equipment risks and recommend corrective actions
- Complete and document all maintenance tasks accurately within tracking systems
- Assist with PLC troubleshooting and minor programming adjustments (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Participate in root cause analysis for recurring electrical failures
- Support equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements
- Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and plant safety standards at all times
- Execute and support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements
- Work safely in washdown and sanitary production environments
- Licensed or Journeyman Electrician certification
- 3 years of industrial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of 480V, 3-phase systems and industrial power distribution
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled production equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing
- Familiarity with washdown environments and sanitary design standards
- Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC systems
- NFPA 70E / Arc Flash training
- Experience supporting multi-shift manufacturing operations
- Calm and effective under pressure during equipment breakdowns
- Strong problem-solver with a proactive maintenance mindset
- Clear communicator across Maintenance, Production, and leadership teams
- Detail-oriented and committed to safety and compliance
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment
