What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Quality Technician position at BB Diversified Services, LTD.?
Position Summary
Will be a part of the quality team and assist the quality department, along with the production personal with quality related tasks. In addition to normal quality activities, this position will be trained to complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for production on schedule. They will also become proficient in operating the FARO arm (BBDS will train). In addition, this position will lead team members in sorts and rework, both internally and externally.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for internal FAIRs.
- Assist with External FAIRs as requested.
- Assist quality and production staff with quality related concerns.
- Lead sort and rework teams as required.
- Assist quality team with quality audits.
- Input data for statistical process control requirements.
- Assist the quality team in other quality processes.
- Will sometimes be required to go to customer site(s) and assist with Quality related items.
- Complete FARO and other company provided training as required.
- Team members are expected to work wherever needed based on training.
- Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area.
- Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Skills & Knowledge:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of BBDS quality process and the FARO arm operation would be preferred, but not required.
- Must be a detailed oriented person
- Must have an understanding of general math principles.
- Must act and dress in a professional manner.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Ability to work in a changing environment.
- Must be able to train on-the-job, in a fast paced environment.
- Team Player with focus on customer service and quality.
- Valid Drivers License required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
