Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Cleaner to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across designated areas
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively
- Maintain restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas in a clean and sanitary condition
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues to management
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within scheduled timeframes to support operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is a plus, and pay will
- Experience with commercial or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and tools safely and responsibly
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shifts
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Occasionally, the employee must lift and move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements are close and distance vision and depth perception. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must perform all other duties as assigned.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on work in facility maintenance with room for skill development in various cleaning disciplines. This role will need to be flexible and be able to have at least 2 days - 1 week in advance notice to be able to work. This is for 1st and 2nd shift in a hospital setting.
