Housekeeper - TEMP Position

TEMPORARY Position available for Part-time Housekeeper

Shift: Sunday to Tuesday 7:30am to 4:00pm

Must be available to work weekends

Starting pay $18.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour

We are a 24/7 facility therefore one must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. The background search includes minor misdemeanors and DUIs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• No experience needed - will train!
• Cleans residents apartments, rooms and balconies on a weekly basis or daily if in the health center while also replenishing supplies
• Follows infection control and safety guidelines.
• Gathers and disposes of trash, cleans floors, handrails, etc.
• Removes soiled linens, makes bed, and provides clean linens weekly for all residents in IL and AL. Housekeepers working in HC follow different protocol.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is moderate to heavy, involving lifting of objects
• Considerable walking, bending, reaching, and crouching.
• May be exposed to communicable diseases, and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV.
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and offensive odors.
