Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Measurement Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Conduct calibration and maintenance of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, sensors, and vision inspection systems to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and AutoCAD layouts to troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment and control systems.
- Perform diagnostics on hydraulic systems, sensors, distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high/low voltage electrical components.
- Support manufacturing operations by performing field service tasks on CNC machinery, calibration of sensors, and alignment of mechanical components.
- Utilize calibration procedures for industrial maintenance activities while adhering to safety standards involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of measurement equipment using tools such as Calypso software and vision inspection systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop schematics for instrumentation layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Provide customer service by troubleshooting measurement issues on-site or remotely to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and system configurations for compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with hydraulics, industrial electrician work, E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation), mechanical knowledge, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), CNC machinery, sensors, vision inspection systems, and calibration techniques.
- Familiarity with schematics reading, AutoCAD drafting software, Calypso software for measurement analysis, and Ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Knowledge of high voltage safety protocols along with experience working with low voltage electrical systems in manufacturing environments.
- Background in military or industrial settings is advantageous due to the emphasis on precision and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical or mechanical issues efficiently.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and clients.
