What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Technician position at Baywater Properties?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Inspecting buildings and identifying maintenance needs
- Repairing or replacing faulty electrical switches, outlets, and fixtures
- Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R systems
- Conducting preventive maintenance on equipment and systems
- Performing general plumbing repairs
- Painting and patching walls as needed
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the facility
Experience:
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and procedures
- Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems is a plus
- Proficiency in HVAC/R systems troubleshooting and repair
- Industrial electrician certification is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for repairs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and vendors
