POSITION SUMMARY:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Debt Capital Markets (“DCM”) team plays a critical role in advancing Bayview’s mission by structuring, executing, and administering financing transactions that support our broad asset management mandate.
As a DCM Associate, you will play a central role in financing execution by:
- Supporting the structuring and execution of asset-backed financing transactions
- Developing materials and analyses that guide investment decisions and external lender discussions
- Engaging directly with lenders and other stakeholders to support communication and efficient execution
- Partnering with internal groups including Portfolio Management, Finance and Legal to align priorities and drive results
- Developing market fluency through analysis of comparable transactions, lender feedback and ABS primary market data to inform execution decisions
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in structuring and executing asset-backed financings across revolving and term facilities in a variety of consumer asset classes
- Analyze and compare alternative financing structures to prepare materials for the Portfolio Management team that inform investment committee decisions and ensure competitiveness in asset acquisitions
- Support and assist in managing transaction processes and documentation, coordinating with counsel and counterparties to ensure terms are accurately reflected and execution is timely and organized
- Manage closings and funding logistics in coordination with Finance, Treasury, Operations and external counterparties
- Support relationship management with lenders and other financing partners, developing the professional presence to represent Bayview externally and build trusted relationships over time
- Monitor primary market data, comparable transactions and lender feedback to synthesize insights which help shape financing strategy
- Demonstrate the ability to rapidly learn and adapt to unfamiliar asset classes and complex capital structures, building expertise through execution
- 2-5 years of experience in structured finance, debt capital markets, investment banking or commercial banking
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with solid academic background
- CFA charter holder or candidate a plus
- Solid foundation in structured finance and credit markets, with working knowledge of financing mechanics and capacity to broaden expertise in asset-backed products
- Ability to review and negotiate term sheet and legal documentation under tight timelines, coordinating effectively with counsel and external counterparties
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging internal stakeholders and external partners
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and adaptable, with intellectual curiosity to learn new products and capital structures quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis and preparation of lender-facing diligence materials
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and other financial analytics tools a plus
- CFA charter holder or candidate preferred, other relevant financial certifications a plus
- This role will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina
- This role will be 100% on-site, in office.
