Patient Care Technician Part Time Days

SCHEDULE: Part-time, 24 hours 7am-7:30pm Rotating weekends and holidays Springfield 1400 – Inpatient Medical Telemetry 24-bed acute care unit caring for medical patients with and without telemetry needs Diagnoses include dementia, sepsis, stroke, cardiac conditions, palliative care, and infectious diseases Serves adult to geriatric patients, including observation and extended-stay status RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health, Patient Care Technicians (PCT) play a hands-on role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care alongside our nursing team. Under the supervision of an RN, you'll assist with direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and vital sign monitoring. PCT’s perform a range of clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing. This role also includes assisting with procedures, patient transport, equipment management, and supporting emergency response protocols. QUALIFICATIONS: This position is part of a career ladder and hiring level determined by Recruitment.
