Compensation: $85.00 per treatment and $95.00 per patient evaluation - 1099 independent contractor
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with patients of all ages, focusing on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy, particularly in relation to pediatric populations. The Speech Language Pathologist will play a crucial role in early intervention strategies and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills in patients.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Provide guidance and education to families regarding speech therapy techniques and strategies for home practice.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
- Understanding of physiology and anatomy as it pertains to communication disorders.
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Familiarity with early intervention practices is a plus.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on individualized care.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and families.
